Dr. Kawnish Kirtania awarded PEER Research Grant from NASEM and USAID
Assistant Professor Dr. Kawnish Kirtania (Principal Investigator), along with Associate Professor Dr. Kazi Bayzid Kabir of Department of Chemical Engineering, BUET, has been awarded the PEER Cycle 9 (Bangladesh – Clean Energy) research grant from the US National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine (NASEM) and USAID. Their research proposal was selected for grant among 474 pre- and 127 full proposals. The total grant is 174,735 USD for a three-year long project. The research project deals with a novel route for producing renewable H2 with carbon recycling to achieve energy security and sustainable development goals for Bangladesh. This project is in collaboration with three other institutions, Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), University of Dhaka (DU), and the US PEER Partner, Florida Institute of Technology (FIT).
